Public Program (preview)
The DAAF 2020 Public Program has been realigned as an exciting and vibrant online event.
The program will take place over seven amazing days, with a range of unique workshops and performances and activities on offer.
Live activities will be scheduled across three hours per day, from 11:00am to 2:00pm with additional resources available online throughout the dates of the Fair. Audiences can expect to see and participate in masterclasses, dances and cultural performances, artist talks, food experience workshops, and live lunchtime concerts.
The Artist Talks project will feature four separate talks, and delve into a range of topics, expertly guided and facilitated by the participants of the DAAFF Indigenous curators program.
ARTIST WORKSHOPS AND DEMONSTRATIONS
Immerse yourself in a masterclass at DAAF! Learn and be inspired by the incredible artists and makers, delivering their workshops on country live from their own Art Centres!
Participants will need to register in advance before the event to allow sufficient time for art kits to arrive in the mail. Numbers are limited.
All masterclasses run for approximately 1 hr.

DAAFF is proud to present cultural dance performances filmed by artists on country.
The 2020 program will feature performers from the Torres Strait and Mornington Island.

Tastes & Tales at Aboriginal Bush Traders with special guest Ben Tyler of Kakadu Kitchen
Those in Darwin can join us on location at Aboriginal Bush Traders, at the beautiful Lyon’s Cottage, to learn about bush foods, participate in a hands on workshop and take home your very own flavour filled take-home pack!
