Eva Ponting paints in the traditional linear style but adapts it to represent her life. Each of her lines signifies her three sons, three daughters, partner, grandkids and herself. Her family always features in her art and being able to pass on her skills to them is very important to Eva.

She is passionate about recycling, so she uses old plastic bags in her weaving. She says plastic will be around for 200 years and never break down whereas the old style of weaving would eventually disintegrate and return to the earth.

Eva wants everyone to know you are never too old to learn a new skill; in fact, it’s what keeps you young at heart and sound of mind
