Landscape of Barrow Creek

Annette Nungala

acrylic on cotton canvas

91cm x 91cm x 2cm

2018

The landscape of Barrow Creek is a reference to the Katyetye heritage of Annette Nungala. She painted her own country located 250 km south of Tennant Creek. The main feature of her painting is the gap that is flooded after the rain season. She still keep the horizontal composition, punctuated by bush medicine and trees of her landscape of Epenarra.
